       FAMILY COUNSELING
The “Loka Bikash”has been giving family
counseling service to helpless women. We always try to support and follow up
the problems of women. The members of The “Loka Bikash”solved 20 cases this
financial year year.
TAILORING
TRAINING UNDER -
The “Loka
Bikash” has given tailoring training to
ruran adult women.. Where 20 nos of
poor adult women were trained. The trainees are trained by two instructor
appointed by our organization. Now they are self-dependent.
CHILD LABOUR
CAMPAIGN
“Loka Bikash” conducted a Work shop on “child labor &child exploitation ” at Panchayat office of
antarapada .25 NGO representatives were present at the work shop.The Block
Development officer was chaired as president and Sri Prakash Patro tell about the laws about
child labor and its penal codes. Road safety ProgrammeeA Awareness meeting was conducted at Maa Swapneswari
High School .Which was presented by the Head Master of Maa Swapneswari High
School sri Harihar bisoyi .The students were aware about traffic rules.
TRAINING AND
FORMATION OF SHG
A training camp was organized at the premises of
this organization. All the members of
this organization ware trained about formation of SHG. How women can improve
her financial status with self-help. Who will help them, What to do , How to
formation a SHG.
NUTRITION CAMPAIGN
Campaigns were organized in its operational area in
order to educate the rural women regarding nutrition and nutritional deficiency
diseases. The volunteers of “Loka Bikash” illustrate the methods of
Preparing nutritious food for the infants. Medical practitioners advised them
regarding various food items that should be taken during progeny and lactation. SEMINAR ON MOTHER AND CHILD CARE This organization gives Importance to mother and child care in order . In order
to educate the mothers regarding their health and regarding psychological and
physical aspects of upbringing the children , it conducted a seminar on mother
and child care at Antarapada Grama panchayat of Ganjam Dist .A total number of
679 rural women attended that seminar
FMILY PLANNING AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Growth of population is great barrier to the progress of the
country .To control it , “Loka Bikash” has
conducted several family planning camps in its operational area in
collaboration with the local PHCs .The volunteers of “Loka
Bikash” have also motivated the villagers to adopt several
family planning methods such as contraceptives ,oral pills like saheli, Mala-D
and male condoms
PULSE POLIO PROGRAMME
“Loka Bikash” has supported pulse polio programme at
different places .As that programme was focusing on pulse polio vaccine in
rural and backward areas, women are mainly motivated about its protection
against the dangerous diseases called infantile polio. AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
This organization has shared the responsibility of making
people aware about AIDS , “Loka Bikash” has conducted a series of meeting to make the
people aware about the ghastly disease AIDS . Printed leaflets, Booklets and
wall posters were distributed to make the villagers aware about the main
sources, which are responsible for the occurrence of the dangerous disease
AIDS.
AWARENESS CAMP
ON DRUG ABUSE
“Loka Bikash” has conducted an awareness
camp at Buguda block on drug abuse,
many villagers attended that camp .The volunteers of this organisatioin have
tried their best to make people aware about the consequences of drug abuse.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME
Most of the target group of “Loka
Bikash” are mostly women who are also educated and
facing the problem of unemployment left at their respective village with no
work. Hence in order provide some employment opportunity, vocational training
programmes have been taken up “Loka Bikash” has initial
a vocational training on tailoring, incense stick training with an aim of
making the unemployed youth self- reliant.
